The OBS-2 is Centek's most cost-effective single-piece bow spring centralizer, developed specifically for onshore wells, including vertical, horizontal, and deviated applications with build rates under 10O /100’ and horizontal reaches of up to 10,000 feet. Compliant with the API 10D standard, the OBS-2 centralizer’s single-piece construction delivers durable downhole performance, and its proprietary heat treatment enhances the flexibility of the bows. This design promotes effective stand-off, zero start and running forces, and excellent fluid dynamics, contributing to optimal cementing outcomes and enhanced runability in various well conditions.

Compact in design, the OBS-2 is shorter than the premium Centek S2 but still maintains a high flow-by area, supporting industry best practices in cementing. Its smaller size enables up to double the number of units per pallet, significantly reducing transport and storage costs while providing the lowest carbon footprint among single-piece centralizers. These efficiencies make the OBS-2 ideal for onshore projects where cost, transport, and environmental considerations are paramount, without sacrificing the essential performance operators expect.
